CONFERENCES FOR PROFESSIONALS

 

This year, the Show is also inaugurating a series of talks reserved for the professionals, which will be held on Monday 31 October in Salle Amérique (ground floor).

The talks are proposed by Caroline Lubbers and Jack Steijn, Co-Founders of Chocoa, and are aimed at chocolate makers and other members of the trade. They tackle the topic of cocoa and chocolate sustainability in the presence of experts.

Conferences are held in French.

 

11am – 12.30pm: “The ABC of sustainable cocoa: Why should you work with sustainable cocoa?” with Jack Steijn, President ISO Committee on sustainable cocoa & Joseph Larose, Manager of Touton SA & Christophe Bertrand, Chocolatier at La Reine Astrid – moderated by Caroline Lubbers

 

2pm – 3.15pm: “The chocolate maker’s impact on the sustainability of the chain: Discussion of the (small or large) chocolate maker’s role in promoting cocoa; What’s the current state of progress in the sector? What are the choices to be made? The challenges to be taken up? How to make an impact?” with Nicolas Dutois, Max Havelaar France & Anne Bieber, Mars & Samir Giha, Chocolatier & Cocaosuyo (Peru) – moderated by Jack Steijn

 

3.45pm – 5pm: “How can you communicate to the consumeron your efforts in favour of sustainability? A debate with chocolate makers and other chocolate professionals” with Caroline Lubbers, Marketing Expert & NN, Fairtrade Certified & Niels Ingemann, President of Ingemann Fine Cocoa & the chocolatiers Benoit Nihant and Stéphane Bonnat – moderated by Jack Steijn
