Live performances by the greatest chefs
For 5 days, the greatest pastry chefs, young talent and renowned chocolate makers recreated their finest chocolate creations before your very eyes.
Flavour, technique and a whole host of wonderful people on 2 stages:
The Pastry Show: you were able to watch et taste a series of original creations from more than 50 chefs, here to give you an exceptional master class. They were joined by Mercotte, France’s favourite blogger.
The Japan Area: the Chefs presented some of the most iconic Japanese food and drink products and some of the surprising ways they can work with chocolate in a series of small-scale workshops.
The Chocolate Fashion Show
Famous chocolatiers and fashion designers collaborated to present you a special birthday collection that took you back over chocolate’s epic history, from its discovery in Mexico 500 years ago to the present day.
A sneak preview of the chocolate dresses was presented during the inaugural fashion show on 29 October 2019.
From 30 October to 3 November, you were able to discover this exceptional show every day at 5pm!

Pastry Area
In 2019, the Salon du Chocolat inaugurated a new 100% patisserie area under the patronage of Philippe Conticini.
Imagine 2,500 sqm of events, demonstrations and exhibitions totally dedicated to the art of patisserie!
The programme included:
- the greatest chefs on stage for virtuoso demonstrations. Discover here the line-up of chefs on the Pastry Show stage in 2019
- an exhibition of the finest Christmas cakes and other monumental works
- a glass kitchen created for the first time at the Salon by Tradition Gourmande in which patissiers made their creations in front of you, with a French region highlighted every day
- a tasting room where you could quietly enjoy your favourite pastries
- a major competition open to professionals and amateurs: the International French Patisserie Trophy organised by the National Confederation of French Artisan Patissiers, Chocolatiers, Confectioners and Ice Cream Makers
- plus a series of book-signing sessions by your favourite authors, chefs and chocolatiers at the “Librairie Gourmande”
Patisserie is putting on its best-ever show at the Salon du Chocolat!
The Salon du Chocolat Junior
The Salon du Chocolat Junior was back for 2019 and offered children and their families an initiation into the magical world of chocolate where they can have fun, learn about chocolate and taste it too.
It was a perfect opportunity for little ones to take part in free workshops, and learn the secrets of chocolate and baking.
Chocolated Exhibitions
The exhibition “Bûche, ô ma bûche” put in the spotlight the most beautiful creations of Christmas 2019 imagined by iconic pastry chefs.
You could also discover the sculptures and monumental works of Philippe Conticini, Nicolas Bernardé, Maëlig Georgelin and the Maison Mulot. Not to mention Géraldine Martens‘s photo exhibition.
Live Performances
The Lands of Cocoa revealed their secrets at the Cacao Show space through dance, songs, music and rituals from cocoa-producing countries … in a festive and chocolaty musical entertainment!
A delight for children and adults alike.
Every day, you could enjoy new animations and shows on the Cacao Show.
Not to mention the famous chocolate fashion show which was offering an exceptional show every day at 5pm.
