Tachibana & Co., Ltd. is a Japanese trading company established in 1947, specialising in trading mainly in cocoa beans, cocoa products and other confectionery materials. In addition to purchasing 20,000-30,000 mt of cocoa beans annually from 25 countries and regions around the world, the company also processes chocolate products and other products through group companies, providing a wide range of cocoa-related services.

DEMAL EXPERTISES. SARL, founded in 2020 by Mrs Djenabou Diallo, is a company engaged in the production and processing of cocoa, with Zeina Cacao, the first Bean to Bar Chocolate brand in Conakry, Guinea, Zeina Cacao employs seven full time workers and five part time workers, mainly women. The company receives support from Tachibana & Co., Ltd. for the equipment needed for chocolate production and technical assistance in chocolate production from Ile de Re Chocolates to ensure quality chocolate production.

The chocolates on exhibition were produced by Zeina Cacao using quality, forest-friendly cocoa beans from our project. Using cocoa beans from Kissidougou, Guinean chocolatiers have produced delicious Made in Guinea Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate.
We are delighted and excited to introduce the world’s first Made in Guinea, Made by Guinean chocolates.We hope that by purchasing Zeina Cacao chocolates, you will be supporting cocoa farmers, chocolate producers and forest conservationists in Guinea.

With a vast with experience in more than 20 cocoa origins from the Americas to Africa and all the way to Asia, their commitment is to link the chocolate maker with specialty cocoa providers and help them make their products a reference in the market.
What’s new for this year? Apart from all efforts to bring African cocoa in the front line again, climate-smart cocoa agriculture has been a core objective of the work in the field. From Nicaragua, to Colombia and Dom Rep, but also from remote Mai Ndombe Province of DRC to Bundibugyo district of Uganda, the cocoa flavour diversity goes now hand in hand with mitigation and dissemination of environmental-friendly solutions and forest protection for lower carbon emissions by the cocoa farmers.
