Following a highly acclaimed inaugural edition in 2025, the Les Éclats du Chocolat competition returns this year to recognise the creations of the 2026 exhibitors that best embody flavour, creativity, ethics and originality.
Organised in partnership with Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet, this competition aims to showcase the diversity, innovation and commitment of the contemporary chocolate scene. Each prize will recognise a unique aspect of the exhibitors’ talent.
Six prizes will be awarded at this year’s event:
- Best bean-to-bar chocolate bar: recognises complete mastery of the cocoa processing, from bean to bar
- Creativity Award: highlights a bold, original or surprising creation in the world of chocolate bars, chocolates or other chocolate treats
- Jury’s Favourite: a discretionary award based on taste or visual appeal
- Commitment and Ethics Award: recognises a responsible approach, whether social, environmental or relating to the traceability of ingredients
- Gourmet Chocolate Bar Award: whether featuring inclusions or fillings, this award recognises subtle combinations or unexpected textures that strike the right balance
- Rising Star Award: recognises a young chocolate brand
The exceptional jury, comprising experts and leading figures from the cocoa, chocolate and patisserie sectors who are committed to product excellence, will be announced very shortly.
