Les Éclats du Chocolat Awards is a highly respected competition, exclusively open to exhibitors of the 2025 Salon du Chocolat & de la Pâtisserie. It celebrates creations that reflect innovation, commitment, and artisanal excellence in the world of fine chocolate.
Winning one of the four Éclats du Chocolat prizes means gaining industry recognition, professional credibility, and a spotlight on distinctive, handcrafted products.

Who can participate?
- If you are a confirmed exhibitor at the 2025 Salon du Chocolat & Pâtisserie, you can enter your product free of charge in the Les Éclats du Chocolat Competition via this link.

What products can be submitted?
- Bean-to-bar tablets (mandatory for origin-based products)
- Chocolate bonbons or innovative creations
- Products launched in 2024 or 2025
- Products with a strong ethical, responsible, or artisanal approach
Each exhibitor may submit up to 5 products.
A preselection will be made, limited to a maximum of 15 shortlisted artisans. If your application is retained, you will be informed by the Salon's organizers and asked to send the physical products to the jury at the following address:

The awards & selection criteria
Les Éclats du Chocolat Awards will honor four creations that reflect the diversity and excellence of chocolate craftsmanship:
- Best Bean-to-Bar Tablet : Rewards full mastery of the bean-to-bar process, focusing on origin, aromatic purity, and technical precision.
- Best Innovation Award : Highlights a bold creation in terms of recipe, form, or usage that reimagines the chocolate experience.
- Jury’s Favorite : Celebrates a product that stood out through flavor, balance, or originality.
- Ethics & Responsibility Award : Recognizes a socially, environmentally, or ethically responsible approach.
How the jury will evaluate entries ?
Entries will be evaluated on 7 key criteria, with a total score of 70 points:
- Taste quality – balance, aromatic intensity, texture, finish, flavor coherence
- Technical execution – recipe precision, mastery of textures, finishings (coatings, molds)
- Originality – uniqueness in concept, flavor pairing, creative angle
- Overall consistency – alignment between recipe, naming, design, storytelling, product promise
- Packaging & presentation – design quality, materials, visibility, ergonomics, market fit
- Sustainability & responsibility – ethics of sourcing, eco-packaging, short supply chains
- Commercial potential – relevance, clarity, appeal to buyers and end consumers
