World Chocolate Masters Final

Join the World Chocolate Masters – 2018 Final !

20 of the world’s best chocolate chefs at the Salon du Chocolat.

From October 31 to November 2, 2018, the Salon du Chocolat will once again host the international finals of the World Chocolate Masters. This competition is the world championship of chocolate artisans – an initiative of Cacao Barry – to promote the talent and creativity of chocolate artisans and push them in the spotlight around the world. The World Chocolate Masters brings 20 finalists together, representing as many countries. The challenge? During 3 days, they will create the patisserie, bonbons and desserts of the future. And watch out for their stunning showpieces – life size and made entirely in chocolate.

Only one finalist can win the prestigious title of World Chocolate Master 2018. The theme of the competition, “Futropolis”, will challenge the finalists to imagine what the future of chocolate gastronomy and patisserie will be like in 2025.

A NEW SET OF CREATIVE CHALLENGES

During this 3-day competition event, contestants will be asked to create and/or present 7 assignments to the jury. Each of them should reflect the Futropolis theme: in the participant’s ingredient selection, the flavours they create, the shapes and presentations.

ABOUT THE WORLD CHOCOLATE MASTERS

This 7th edition’s theme ‘Futropolis’ challenges all finalists to think about the future of chocolate gastronomy. All creative challenges will be inspired by new technology, trends and changing consumer preferences. A professional jury, consisting of 21 leading experts in gastronomy, will evaluate the contestants. They will be looking forward to exploring new taste combinations, forward-thinking food concepts and a design language that will define tomorrow’s commercial patisserie and chocolaterie. The contestants will get the opportunity to unveil their talent to a global audience of foodies, chocolate-lovers, chefs, bloggers and the international press.
