The International French Pastry Trophy

The Salon du Chocolat hosted the International French Pastry Trophy organised by the National Confederation of Pastry Artisans!

The Confédération Nationale des Artisans Pâtissiers Chocolatiers Glaciers Confiseurs Traiteurs (CNAP) hosted the first edition of French Pastry International Trophy at this year’s show, from the 1st to the 3th of November.

This new competition aims to promote the excellence of French pastry in the world by reinterpreting great classics with creativity, precision and by proposing new techniques.

Three days of intense contest in front of the public which witnessed the victory of the French candidate, Dorian Zonca (École Gastronomique Bellouet Conseil in Paris). The silver trophy went to Kohei Ishida (Japan) before Switzerland’s Maxime Tardieu.

The panel, presided by Pierre Mirgalet (Meilleur Ouvrier de France and President of the Confédération Nationale des Artisans Pâtissiers), was composed of professionals – including MOF, French and World Pastry Champions : Thierry Bamas, Nicolas Boussin, Pascal Brunstein, Dimitris Chronopoulos, Sébastien Claverie, Benoit Couvrand, Angelo Dao-Castes, Laurent Duchêne, Marc Ducobu, Stéphane Glacier, Vincent Guerlais, Claire Heitzler, Jean-Christophe Jeanson, Susumu Koyama, Laurent Le Daniel, Bruno Le Derf, Gilles Marchal, Nino Megrelidze, Damien Moutarlier, Terai Norihiko, Emmanuel Ryon, Philippe Segond, Aurélien Trottier
